Can I jump in?

Isabel loves crawling over to the tub and standing up to let us know she's ready for her bath! She really wants to join Jack but I think that'd be complete chaos right now...

Early Christmas...

Izzy loves her Christmas present from Grandma Rankin! She loves to practice standing with it. I just couldn't get that on film.

Superstar!

At Jack's school, they have a star student each month. Jack's big day is tomorrow. We had to make a big poster with pictures of family, his favorite things to do and special events. John thinks I went a little overboard but it was fun! We had it laminated so he can hang it in our new playroom.

8 Months Old!

I can't believe Isabel is 8 months old already! Or that Thanksgiving is just 2 weeks away...time is just flying by as usual!

This past month has been all about mobility for Izzy. She started crawling - first with this crazy scoot where she'd mainly pull herself around by her arms and use one knee to help and then finally on all fours. She has been sitting up for months but has perfected taking a break to sit while crawling (even in her crib which can be a pain!) She isn't standing on her own yet but working on it. She also likes to do the downward dog yoga pose - I hope that doesn't mean she will start walking anytime soon!

Isabel loves to feed herself puffs or bread. She's been saying "mama" for a couple months but just started saying "dada" a few weeks ago to John's delight.
Our baby girl likes to bounce and dance too. In the above photo, she was bopping to tejano music when we took my Mom out for mexican food.

We look forward to many more firsts in the months to come!
