The Most Magical Place on Earth

We were given the most wonderful Christmas gift this year from Poppa & Abuelita (Dad & Cookie) - a trip to Disney World!! We spent the week before Christmas enjoying beautiful weather and many magical moments!!

The park was beautifully decorated for the holidays - check out Cinderella's castle!

We raced in to meet the princesses in the Main Street area our very first morning at the the Magic Kingdom. Isabel loved meeting Aurora, Belle & Cinderella!

Poppa found Daisy and Snow White greeting guests by the huge Christmas tree. Jack & Izzy loved giving them hugs and getting an autograph.

John waited in line (for over an hour!) so Isabel could meet one of her favorite princesses - Rapunzel. Poppa & I took the kids on their very first ride...It's a Small World. They loved it! I think we rode it several more times during the trip.

Next stop - Tomorrowland to meet Buzz Lightyear and ride some fun rides! The old school race cars were a hit. The kids got their first driver's licenses and Jack could barely see over the steering wheel!!

We saw the Shake It Parade next - lots of great music & dancing. Check out Jack's face as he waves to Mickey Mouse! And then his very first mouse ear ice cream...but not the last.

Jack & Isabel were in heaven when the got to meet Mickey & Minnie during the special Christmas Event our first night there. We enjoyed a fun holiday parade with hot cocoa & cookies. Plus, they even made snow fall on Main Street!

Our second day started with a character breakfast at Hollywood Studios. The kids met June (Little Einsteins), Agent Oso, Jake from the Neverland Pirates and Handy Manny!

Some much needed chill time on a hammock at the hotel.

We ate dinner at the Yacht Club and ran into Donald & Daisy Duck - all dressed up for the holidays! Jack made some beautiful artwork at dinner.

Then back to the Magic Kingdom to ride the train and some other rides. Jack picked out some huge Mickey hands and Isabel picked out an Ariel wand for their first souvenirs.

And John waited yet again for another Princess.
Princess Tiana & Prince Naveen from the Princess and the Frog.

We started our third day at the Animal Kingdom. We raced to the Safari Jeeps and rode them two times - Jack just loved them! Hippos & giraffes were just a couple of the animals we were up close & personal with.

A ride on Rafiki's Train. Check out Isabel's "grumpy" face...easily fixed with a yummy ice cream sandwich. We all loved the Flights of Wonder bird show (I just wish I could have captured those amazing birds on film).

The Boneyard. A fun playground for the kids to run around in.

Jack's favorite meal...Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness. We had a picnic style dinner while a live country band entertained us. The kids danced with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Chip-n-Dale. It really was a blast!

Our fourth day was spent at Epcot. Despite the crowds, we rode some great rides. We had lunch at the German Beirgarten - another favorite by all! We were so stuffed from the delicious food and beer. Jack & Izzy loved the authentic German band too.
We enjoyed a special Candlelight Processional hosted by Trace Adkins. The story of Christmas was retold along with beautiful music.

And sadly...our last day in Florida. The Three Caballeros at our hotel & a shot of the lake (Jack's attempt at photogrpahy)! :)

Thank you Poppa & Abuelita for such a fabulous adventure!
