We were so excited to finally get some warmer weather!!

Birthday Surprise!

I had a fabulous birthday this year! First, Jack comes home with a beautiful bouquet of roses that he picked out from Central Market (he says I love yellow). Then, my wonderful parents drove up from Houston to surprise me with gifts and cake! I had no idea. Jack even knew for 3 hours without telling me...bribed by John with yogurt pretzels to keep the secret. Jack ripped open my gifts and helped blow out the candles. He loves birthday cake just as much as I do!

Fun Dip

Jack got his first Fun Dip from a friend at school for Valentine's Day. Remember the white lick-o-stick that you dip in colored sugar? Can you guess what color Jack ate??

More Snow Pictures...

Jack loved every minute that he spent in the snow...building snowmen, making snow angels and especially snowball fights. Luckily his aim isn't too great yet!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

It's snowed all day yesterday! We have over 10 inches of snow! Going back outside to help the guys build another snowman...

Countdown to One!

I can't believe Isabel is 11 months old! This past year has just flown by and I'm already missing all those baby moments.


Just last week, Isabel started standing on her own. It just cracks us up to see her do little squats and then plop down to sit.


She has been pushing our little HABA cart around too and is strong enough to push Jack (he helps her out by moving his feet - such a good big brother!)


Iz still enjoys eating anything & everything! She rarely eats baby food these days. Grilled chicken is still one of her favorites.

I'm really hating the 2 flights of stairs in our house. Isabel is a pro at climbing them and makes a break for the stairs every chance she gets. She can get up them in about 1 minute. We have gates at the top but I really think I need to add gates at the bottom to avoid any climbing fiascos.

Panic!

That was me just about 5 minutes ago when I went into Jack's room to wake him up from his nap. I couldn't find him anywhere! Tore the blankets apart, searched the room & closet and then thought to look under the bed...

Forts

Thanks to all the cold, rainy weather we've had to get creative indoors. Remember building forts when you were little? Jack loves making tents in our bed or tearing apart the couch to build his own private castle.
