Thankful!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! John & I ran the 8 mile Dallas Turkey Trot to start off the day. Maybe next year we can get Dad & Cookie to walk the 5K with the kids. It was freezing & windy this year though! After cooking all afternoon, we enjoyed our meal in about 10 minutes! And we're still eating leftovers from all that food...
We ended the day by seeing Harry Potter on the IMAX screen. It was awesome.

Before she gets too old...

Love these little bear ears on her jacket.

Thank you Goveys!

The kids love their presents from the Govey's trip to London. Izzy calls Peppa the Pig "Pretty Pig". Jack especially loves that his truck has JACK on it!

Fall Fun

I'm cheating a little by finally posting all the photos from the past month. We've had lots of fun times this fall!

A trip to the Dallas Zoo with our good friends Mollie & Annabelle Pannier.

Jack & Mo at Martha & Bill's ranch. The kids didn't miss us at all when we ran the Tyler half-marathon.

Isabel & Stretch

The sneaky little squirrel that has eaten all of our pumpkins. We have discovered that he doesn't like the "Cinderella" type though...

Isabel & Poppa sharing apples!

Jack & Izzy helping Poppa repair the firetruck. The wheels needed adjusting.

Painting pumpkins! Even the paint didn't stop our squirrel.

Our little monsters. They loved wearing these masks and playing chase around the house.

Jack's Halloween Party at school. Again, Jack has a class full of girls. Here he is surrounded by princesses!

Isabel's Playgroup Halloween Party! They were so cute.

Enjoying the beautiful fall weather in our front yard!

DRC Half-Marathon

Haley, Lee and I ran the DRC half-marathon this past Sunday. Not a typo...sadly John wasn't able to run with us due to an unexpected Army weapons training weekend in San Antonio. This was my first race without John so I decided to run with music. My IPod was cleared of all music 2 nights before the race. I spent hours trying to recover it and then my Dad spent hours the next night trying to fix it. No luck! So I ran with Cookie's IPod instead. A mix of Spanish music, ABBA and even Christmas songs! It kept me going though (Thanks Cookie!!)

And it turns out - my best race to date. I beat my best time by 4 minutes! The weather was gorgeous and the course was fun (even if a little too hilly). My official race time was 1hr 56min. Looking forward to our next race on Thanksgiving morning - a short 8 mile Turkey Trot through Dallas!

Before & After - Our Yard

Who knew plants & dirt could be so expensive?! But we LOVE it!!
