Carnival!

On Saturday, we took the kids to their future school (Armstrong Elementary) for the annual carnival. In Highland Park style, the event was crazy! 4 bounce houses, pony rides, a petting zoo, a train, balloon artist, face painting, games, etc. And that was just for the little ones...
The big kids had bungee jumping, zip lines, a karaoke stage and so on.

Jack & Isabel had their first pony rides. Isabel could not stop laughing - she loved it! The petting zoo was a hit too with bunnies, chickens, goats, a calf, a donkey and a "pink" pony. Isabel didn't want to leave.

Jack loved the train and all the bounce houses of course!

Reluctantly heading home. I just love this shot of her little ruffle butt. ;)

Bluebonnets!

People go wild for bluebonnet pictures in Texas. We found a great field of them in Plantersville so we pulled over and took some photos after church last Sunday. It was just me and the kids...

Fun at the Lake

We spent last weekend visiting Poppa & Abuelita at Lake Conroe. John had Army and Matt is in town visiting. The weather was gorgeous so we spent plenty of time on the jetskis and boat. Isabel took her first ride and loved it!

Poppa bought Jack his first pair of cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. He wears them everywhere...

Izzy loves the cats. Her new favorite thing to do is "ride" Nacho. Poor cat!

Happy Easter!

Spoiled Rotten!

Here are just a few pictures of all the presents Jack got from friends & family. He has talked about his semi-truck for weeks...it was the first thing he opened and he has been playing with it nonstop! He loves his new crane construction set and dumptruck. Poppa & Abuelita brought Isabel a princess building set so she wouldn't feel left out - she loves all the new trucks and cars too though. ;)

Jack's 3rd Birthday - a Zoo Party!

We celebrated Jack's 3rd birthday at the Dallas Zoo! The weather was gorgeous and the kids had a fantastic time! There were 12 little kids so it was chaos. They started out riding the carousel together and then ventured over to the Flamingo Deck for crafts (animal puppets), cake, ice cream & snacks. All the kids raced off to ride the monorail and see the animals afterwards.
