Christmas!!

Christmas Part 1

Jack and Isabel were spoiled rotten this Christmas! There were so many presents, we decided to open some early to avoid hauling them all to Houston for Christmas day. Also, Grandma Hagan came to visit so she wanted to see the kids open their gifts.

A huge, noisy remote control dumpster from Grandma & Grandpa Rankin! Jack loves it of course. He was dying to know what was in that big present under the tree!!

Isabel loved all the paper & bows!

These baby leg warmers are just too funny. Izzy loves riding in Jack's old Haba cart.

With so many trees, we now have leaves to rake & collect! Jack loves helping.

Hanging with Grandma Hagan (or Daddy's Mommy as Jack likes to call her).

All Aboard!

Jack was in heaven this weekend when we took him to the Trains at NorthPark. There are more than 40 vintage locomotives chugging along tracks and all proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

This past Thursday was Jack's very first Christmas Program. The theme was "Happy Birthday Jesus" and all the kids wore costumes to represent part of his birthday cake. Jack was one of the candles that represented "God is the Light of the World".

All of the kids were just adorable!! Some cried, some laid down on the steps, some put their costumes on their head. Jack loudly questioned his teacher about the location of his baby sister Isabel. (I had her in the stroller so I guess he couldn't see her). We raced to the front so he'd be appeased and let the show go on! He claims he was singing SO LOUD but he never uttered a word. He sings all the songs at home for me so it must have been stage fright!

They sang Happy Birthday Jesus, Baby Jesus, Jingle Bells and We Wish you a Merry Christmas. See a couple videos below.

At the end, each child was given a gift from St. Nicholas. I was so proud of Jack!

So I jinxed us...

Isabel officially has her first cold and it sucks! Poor baby girl can hardly breathe. John has the funk too as well as Poppa & Abuelita thanks to our visit to Houston this past weekend. I am holding out - although my throat is feeling a little sore...

Praying everyone feels better in time for Christmas next week!

9 Months!

I'm a little late with this post but I just took Isabel for her 9 month check-up today. Our little munchkin is growing up so fast! She's only gained 1 lb. over the last few months (just like Jack did at this age) but she's getting long. Her stats today were 28 1/4 in (75%) and 17 lbs 2 oz (40%).

You can see her 2 bottom teeth in the first picture. She's getting her 2 top teeth now too...teething bites! Isabel is a super happy baby though. We've been lucky that she hasn't been sick yet - a little shocking with her germy big brother around. He's been sick 3 times thanks to school! I guess Mama's antibodies are really working!!

Izzy loves cuddling with a blanket (luckily she isn't too picky about which one). She is all about standing these days...so ready to get up and chase Jack. She also loves table food - grilled chicken, mac-n-cheese, avocado, pears, bananas - you name it! You'd think she'd be huge with all the food she eats!

Looking forward to her first Christmas next week!!

Orange County Choppers

So you'll appreciate this Matt...I took this photo for John. He loves this show. Paul Sr. was checking into the same hotel on Tuesday morning in Las Vegas. He doesn't look so big in person.

This was right after Liz and I ate burgers, fries and shakes from In-N-Out. I felt sick afterwards but man was it good. :)
